Home PageWelcome to the home page of one of Australia's largest retailers of remaindered books.A book is "remaindered" when its publisher judges that its sales velocity has slowed to a point where it is no longer viable to keep the book in stock, and sells it off to the likes of us. We scour the globe for remainders, and then list them in our catalogues, which we print and mail every four weeks. If you would like to receive our printed catalogues, please Email Us your name and address. At any time we have two "live" catalogues, and the books in each are different. These are now on this web page, which you can browse by clicking on "SHOPPING" above. If you prefer, you can read or print out the catalogues or just those categories you want. The mailed version of our catalogue always has a chatty introduction, which is reproduced here for our most recent catalogue - February 2010. Sally and Tom celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary last month - "only two years to the ruby ring" said Daisy, helpfully, to Tom. Isn't it odd, when you look back and some of the 38 years are like yesterday and others are fogged up and forgotten until the memory is jogged - and sometimes, not even then. Music and food are good joggers. Sally received a 2CD set of Simply the best of the Sixties for her birthday, (also last month) and grooving in the car driving to work reminds her of the tempestuous relationship she and Tom had in their youth. By the time she's in the office, she's spoiling for a fight. On the food side, the pair made an Aberdeen Sausage (Miss Schauer's recipe of course) from the remnants of their Christmas ham. "Ahh", said Tom eating it cold with a salad and some Palms Chutney..."it's 1958 in Brisbane. Fantastic." Now the holidays are over it's time to settle down to some serious reading, so settle back, turn these pages, mark your choices and send them to us.
